Jan 30,2025In the two-stage tandem PE/PP granulation production line, the granulator plays a vital role. It is responsible for cutting the molten plastic material into uniform granules, which will directly affect the quality and application performance of subsequent plastic processing products. However, during the extrusion process, the flow rate and temperature of the plastic material will be affected by many factors, such as raw material formula, extruder parameter settings, ambient temperature, etc. Changes in these factors may cause the material to be unstable during cutting, resulting in problems of uneven particle size or breakage.
In order to solve this problem, the granulator on the modern two-stage tandem PE/PP granulation production line is generally equipped with a precise speed control system. This system monitors the flow rate and temperature of the extruded material in real time, intelligently adjusts the cutting speed, and ensures a smooth and efficient cutting process.
The working principle of the speed control system is based on advanced sensor technology and intelligent control algorithms. During the extrusion process, the sensor collects the flow rate and temperature data of the material in real time and transmits this information to the control system. The control system quickly calculates the optimal cutting speed based on the preset cutting parameters and algorithm model, and adjusts the blade of the pelletizing device through the motor drive.
Flow rate monitoring and response: The flow rate of the material is one of the key factors determining the cutting speed. When the material flow rate increases, the speed control system will automatically increase the cutting speed to maintain the continuity of the cutting and avoid the particles being too long or sticking; conversely, when the material flow rate slows down, the cutting speed will also be reduced accordingly to prevent the particles from being too short or broken.
Temperature monitoring and adjustment: Temperature is an important factor affecting the fluidity of plastic materials. During the extrusion process, changes in material temperature will directly affect its cutting performance. The speed control system can intelligently adjust the cutting speed by monitoring the material temperature to adapt to changes in material fluidity. For example, when the material temperature is too high, the system will appropriately reduce the cutting speed to reduce heat accumulation during the cutting process and prevent the particles from deforming or breaking due to overheating.
In order to ensure the uniformity and integrity of the particles, the two-stage tandem PE/PP granulation production line not only relies on a precise speed control system, but also takes a series of technical and strategic safeguards.
Blade design and material selection: The blade of the pelletizing device is a key factor affecting the cutting quality. High-quality blades are usually made of high-strength, wear-resistant alloy materials, with excellent cutting performance and long service life. The design of the blade is also carefully optimized to ensure smooth and efficient cutting.
Cutting parameter optimization: In addition to the intelligent adjustment of the speed control system, the optimization of cutting parameters is also an important means to ensure the uniformity of particles. This includes the reasonable setting of parameters such as cutting speed, cutting pressure, cutting angle, and dynamic adjustment according to material characteristics and production needs.
Cooling system synergy: The cut plastic particles need to be cooled quickly to fix the shape. The cooling system on the two-stage tandem PE/PP pelletizing production line quickly cools the cut particles by air cooling or water cooling. The synergy of the cooling system not only helps to improve the hardness and glossiness of the particles, but also further reduces the deformation or breakage of the particles due to thermal expansion.
